In a deeply intimate and spontaneous recital during his primary sitting, The Strangers' Case captures Sir Ian's reimagining of a text he has become synonymous with: Shakespeare’s only surviving handwritten speech. Having made history as the only actor to originate a Shakespearean role when he first performed the play, his connection to the words is historically singular. The work offers a profoundly moving encounter, transforming a 400-year-old public plea into an act of intimate and timeless defence of humanity.
